I started working for Mary's Pence in 2011.  When I read the mission of the organization, I realized that this might be something for me.

Mary's Pence is a grassroots organization that directs donated resources to small women's projects. Funding decisions are rooted in a Catholic tradition of social justice together with feminist values where all are welcome at the table.

For over 35 years, Mary's Pence has been funding projects and individuals to help empower women throughout the Americas.  The ESPERA program funds lending pools owned and managed by various women's networks in El Salvador, Nicaragua, Mexico, Guatemala, and Honduras.  The program has grown to also include emotional wellness and business development training and small family farm initiatives - all program based on what the women of the ESPERA program have identified as needs.

The Mary's Pence Grant program funds small nonprofits in the United States working to create systemic change for women in their communities.
